family members

Remember, family relationships can be great and fulfilling, but they should never come at the expense of your well-being. Don’t tolerate mistreatment from family because you don’t deserve that. Family should make you feel loved, happy, and safe. You deserve love, respect, and safety, even if that means making difficult choices to cut people off to protect yourself and your well being.

It's important to recognize the signs of toxic behavior, which include manipulation, disrespect, or emotional abuse. Create boundaries that ensure your safety and happiness. Sometimes, distancing from family members—even those you love dearly—is necessary for your mental health. This process may involve difficult choices, but prioritize yourself. Consider engaging in healthy habits that enhance your resilience, such as therapy, journaling, and self-care practices. Remember to surround yourself with supportive friends and communities that reinforce your self-worth. Embrace vulnerability to connect authentically with others, allowing yourself to heal and grow. By focusing on your well-being, you not only improve your life but also inspire others to foster healthier familial relationships.

agreed 100%, blood doesn’t make family, if it’s toxic no reason to shame yourself for cutting it out of your life , it’s worth it
