Overcoming gym fear is a common challenge, especially if you’re a beginner. I started by having a plan each time I went to the gym. I knew what workouts and machines I wanted to do and use before coming in. I also chose a gym that my family and friends go to so I could work out with them sometimes. Wearing comfortable clothes that made me feel confident helped me a lot as well.

Working out with my fiancé or my best friend also helped a lot because they provided support motivation, and I felt less self-conscious with them by my side. If you are experiencing gym anxiety, just remember that everybody started somewhere. Most people at the gym are focused on their own workouts and not paying attention to others.

It’s gonna take time, but it will get easier ☺️
