limiting screen time
I limit my screen time because too much will hurt my eyes 🥲 It can lead to eye strain, causing dryness, blurred vision, and headaches. Reducing screen time also helps prevent long-term vision problems and discomfort.
Also, too much screen time is linked to increased stress and anxiety particularly when overusing social media.
Taking breaks allows my mind to recharge and reduces overstimulation.
It also helps me become more productive with the things I need to do like working out, doing laundry, cleaning, etc…

In today's digital age, where screens dominate our daily lives, it's crucial to recognize the impact of excessive screen time on our wellbeing. Long hours spent staring at devices can cause various issues, ranging from eye strain and dryness to serious long-term vision problems. The strain manifests as blurred vision and discomfort, potentially leading to headaches if not managed properly. Moreover, research indicates that overexposure to screens, particularly through social media, can trigger heightened stress and anxiety levels. To combat this, experts recommend implementing regular breaks during your screen usage. Simple methods, such as the 20-20-20 rule (taking a 20-second break to look at something 20 feet away every 20 minutes), can allow your eyes to rest, reducing the likelihood of strain. Incorporating breaks into your routine not only helps your eyes but also your mental health. Stepping away from screens enables your mind to recharge, fostering creativity and productivity in essential tasks like exercising, cleaning, or connecting with loved ones. Setting specific 'screen time limits' helps cultivate a healthier balance in our lifestyles, ultimately promoting both eye health and emotional wellbeing. By understanding the importance of limiting screen time, you pave the way for a healthier lifestyle free from the adverse effects of excessive digital exposure.
