i never met her in person, but we’re close
I met my friend online about five years ago while playing a game. It started off pretty casual we’d just queue up together and talk during games, but something about our energy just clicked. Before I knew it, we were talking every day. We got really close, especially during covid when the world felt so isolating. Even though we never met in person, it never felt like we were strangers. We were closer than ever.
Now that we’re a little older, life has gotten busier for both of us. We don’t talk every single day like we used to, but we still check in with each other weekly. We’ve traded game nights for life updates sharing stories about work, relationships, and little things that remind us of the past. Even though our friendship looks different now, I still love her deeply and care about her so much. I’d really love to meet her in person one day and finally give her the hug she deserves.
