I’m following him

Both my husband and I are 26 years old, and honestly, I don’t think long distance would ever work for us. I know it can work for some people everyone’s relationship is different but for us, it just doesn’t fit who we are or where we’re at in life right now. We’re still young, building our lives together, and so much of that depends on actually being together. We didn’t work this hard to create a home and a marriage just to spend it apart.

We just bought a house together, which is such a huge step at our age. We both have full time jobs, we’re paying off our cars, and we’re trying to travel while we’re young and able. These are the years we want to look back on and remember as the time we grew closer, built memories, and supported each other side by side. Being apart would feel like missing out on the life we promised each other. We’re still in the honeymoon phase too we want to soak up every bit of this new chapter.

If my husband ever wants to move, or even has to move for work or family, I’m packing my bags and going with him. There’s no question about it. We didn’t just commit to loving each other in words, but in how we live. No distance is worth the loneliness that comes with it when you’ve chosen someone to build every day with.

I feel so grateful that we’re on the same page about this. It brings me so much peace knowing that wherever life takes us, we’re going there together. It makes every new step and every unexpected twist feel a little less scary because we know we’re facing it side by side.

... Read moreBuilding a strong relationship in your twenties involves more than just emotional connection—it requires practical decisions about lifestyle and priorities. For couples like the author and her husband, the choice to avoid long-distance relationships stems from a desire to grow together in every aspect of life—from buying a home to supporting each other's careers. While long-distance relationships can work for some, they often require a level of emotional resilience and communication skills that not all couples are ready or willing to develop at the same stage. Young couples building their lives together may find the physical proximity essential to sharing daily experiences, creating memories, and providing mutual support. Owning a house is not just a financial milestone but a symbol of shared commitment and stability. Managing full-time jobs, financial responsibilities like car payments, and the ambition to travel exemplify a balanced approach to lifestyle growth that many couples find challenging if separated by distance. Moreover, being in the honeymoon phase of marriage often encourages partners to savor each moment side by side, strengthening their bond and ensuring the relationship’s foundation remains solid. The author’s perspective on following her husband wherever life leads underlines the importance of partnership and shared commitment beyond mere words. For couples facing potential relocations due to work or family, making a proactive decision to move together can alleviate the loneliness and uncertainty that distance imposes. This mutual support system is crucial for maintaining intimacy and emotional health. Ultimately, choosing togetherness involves embracing vulnerability and trusting that facing life’s challenges as a team creates resilience and deepens love. This approach to relationships highlights key hashtags like #happywifehappylife, #relationshipgoals, #longdistancerelationship, and #embracevulnerability, reflecting common values modern couples share in building fulfilling partnerships.

what following Jesus actually costs
following Jesus isn’t a soft decision. it isn’t aesthetic. it isn’t convenient. and it definitely isn’t popular. somewhere along the way, the message got watered down. we started selling a version of faith that promises comfort without sacrifice, blessings without obedience, and a cross without

Choose Him Daily
Good Morning 🤍 Following God isn’t always comfortable… It requires letting go of what feels easy and choosing what’s right. It means trusting Him over your own understanding. It means walking in obedience even when it stretches you. But every time you choose God, you’re choosing growth.
