What age did you start driving?
Realistically, I got my license when I was 18 years old. I was so scared of driving that I didn’t actually start driving until I was about 25 years old. I moved out of my parents house with my bf who is now my husband, and I made a deal with him that I would start driving if we could move out 🥹 it has been eight months of me driving daily, but I can only really get to work.. next I have to tackle the freeway 😩 #lemon8contest #AskLemon8
Starting to drive can be a daunting milestone for many young adults. While the legal licensing age in most areas is around 16 to 18 years old, actual driving experience often starts later due to fear or lack of confidence. Overcoming driving anxiety is common, and it’s important to build skill gradually to ensure safety. One crucial safety feature to be aware of is the airbag system in vehicles. Airbags, combined with seat belts, provide vital protection in the event of an accident. Knowing how airbags function and ensuring your car’s safety systems are well-maintained can ease driving worries and boost confidence. Many new drivers find freeway driving particularly intimidating due to higher speeds and heavier traffic. Gradual exposure through short trips on less busy roads can prepare drivers before tackling highways and freeways. Making agreements and supportive arrangements with family or partners, like committing to drive to gain independence, can motivate hesitant drivers to gain experience incrementally. Remember, daily practice, patience, and understanding your vehicle's safety features are key steps toward becoming a confident and safe driver.

As soon as possible. Love driving. I drive to clear my head. Play loud music. Sing and release the bad energy.
