how I grown in the last three years ✨
Three years ago, I was in such a dark place. I didn’t have a job, I wasn’t driving, and my anxiety had me completely stuck. I would cry almost every day, just overwhelmed. Even simple things felt impossible. I felt like I was frozen in place while the world moved on without me. It was one of the loneliest and scariest times of my life. But something in me refused to give up. I knew deep down that I wanted more for myself, even if it took everything I had to get there.
Over the last three years, I started pushing myself outside of my comfort zone. It wasn’t easy. I applied for jobs even when my hands were shaking, I forced myself to get behind the wheel. Driving was one of my biggest fears, but I kept trying. Slowly, my life started to shift. I built confidence by doing the hard things. I kept showing up. I got a full time job (moved up 3 positions and am now a lead), started driving regularly, and found pieces of freedom I never thought I’d have.
Now, looking at my life, I’m in awe. I’m married to someone I love deeply, living in a house we had built from the ground up, and I’ve even had the chance to travel around the world. I remember the girl who thought she’d never be able to leave the house, and now I’m living a life she prayed for. I’m finally behind the wheel of my own life, in every sense of the word.
I still have anxiety, and I still face challenges, but I face them with strength now. I’m no longer stuck I’m moving, growing, and living. And I’m so damn proud of that.

Reflecting on a journey of personal growth often brings profound insights into how much one can truly change. It's not always about grand gestures, but the consistent, small steps taken over time that lead to significant transformation. Many of us can relate to feeling stuck or overwhelmed by anxiety, where even the simplest tasks feel monumental. But what if we started viewing these challenges not as roadblocks, but as opportunities for growth? One of the most powerful catalysts for change is the decision to push past your comfort zone. This might mean applying for a job that feels intimidating, learning a new skill, or confronting a fear head-on, much like facing the open road when driving felt impossible. It's in these moments of discomfort that genuine confidence is forged. Each time you tackle something difficult, you're not just completing a task; you're building resilience and proving to yourself that you are capable of more than you ever imagined. This healing is truly a process of courage, requiring you to show up for yourself, even when it's hard. Building a life you truly love involves more than just overcoming fears; it’s also about actively pursuing what brings you joy and fulfillment. This could mean finding a career that allows for growth, cultivating meaningful relationships, or exploring the world through travel. These experiences don't just happen; they are the result of intentional effort and a persistent belief in your own potential. It’s about taking the reins of your own life, moving from a place of being frozen to actively steering your path, knowing that everything has changed because you chose to change it. This journey requires embracing vulnerability and finding strength in showing up authentically. For anyone feeling overwhelmed, consider starting with tiny, manageable goals. Want to tackle anxiety? Maybe it's a five-minute walk outside each day. Want to pursue a new career? Start with researching one job posting. These small victories accumulate, creating a powerful momentum toward bigger achievements. Remember, growth isn't linear; there will be ups and downs, but the key is to keep moving forward. Embrace the challenges as part of your unique story, knowing that each step, no matter how small, contributes to the incredible person you are becoming. Your personal narrative of strength and transformation is worth celebrating.
