What’s your favorite Halloween memory?

One of my favorite Halloween memories was when I went trick or treating with my new husband for the first time when we were in high school. We were walking my little cousins and a little old lady stopped me, and she asked me why I didn’t have a bag of my own. I told her I was 16 and a little too old to go trick or treating. She handed me a plastic bag, and a handful of candy, she was the sweetest thing. I ended up collecting a lot of candy that night. #halloween2025 #lemon8contest #halloweenhottake #AskLemon8

... Read moreHalloween is a magical time that brings people of all ages together to enjoy festive traditions and create lasting memories. One of the most cherished parts of Halloween is trick-or-treating, an activity that invites both children and adults to embrace the spirit of community and fun. Even if you think you might be too old to participate, Halloween offers moments of unexpected kindness and joy, just like the story of receiving a plastic bag and candy from a sweet stranger. Many people fondly recall similar moments where Halloween became more than just collecting candy — it became about sharing smiles and connecting across generations. Whether you’re walking with cousins, friends, or family, the experience offers a wonderful way to bond and celebrate creativity through costumes and decorations. If you're looking to make your Halloween celebrations even more memorable, consider planning themed activities like pumpkin carving, a spooky movie night, or baking Halloween treats. These add layers to the experience and create new traditions to enjoy year after year. Ultimately, Halloween reminds us that joy can be found in simple acts — like a thoughtful gesture from a stranger or the laughter shared while exploring your neighborhood after dark. So, next time you go trick-or-treating or attend a Halloween event, be open to creating your own special memories that might brighten your life for years to come.

Honestly it’s so sad now a days. I’m a huge Halloween fan, like Halloween all year round and it’s so sad seeing it get celebrated less and less every year.
