Do you like scary or funny Halloween costumes?

I honestly prefer having a funny costume over a scary costume any day. I feel like a lot of people try to dress up scary every single year… I miss when costumes were pretty funny. We need to bring back funny costumes. Don’t get me wrong. I think scary costume were pretty cool. I just prefer funny ones. #AskLemon8 #lemon8contest

... Read moreHalloween costumes have evolved significantly over the years, with trends swinging between scary and funny themes. Many people today tend to lean towards scary costumes, incorporating intricate makeup, prosthetics, and horror movie inspirations to achieve the perfect fright factor. However, funny costumes hold a special place in the spirit of Halloween because they foster laughter, creativity, and light-hearted fun. Choosing a funny costume can be a refreshing change from the common scary outfits. They encourage social interaction as people are more likely to compliment or ask about a humorous costume, sparking conversations and creating a friendly atmosphere. These costumes can also be personalized with clever wordplay, pop culture references, or creative twists on daily objects, making them relatable and memorable. Balancing funny and scary elements is also a popular approach, where a costume may look creepy at first but reveals a humorous detail upon closer inspection. This blend satisfies both fans of horror and comedy, making Halloween gatherings more dynamic. For those looking to go beyond the usual scary costumes, consider embracing classic funny ideas like puns, quirky characters, or retro themes. These outfit choices often require less preparation but deliver maximum smiles. Plus, funny costumes can be more inclusive and approachable for all ages, making them ideal for family-friendly events. Ultimately, whether scary or funny, the best costume is one that reflects your personality and brings you joy. Bringing back the trend of funny costumes can remind everyone of the playful spirit of Halloween, where imagination and humor are just as important as the spook factor. So this Halloween, why not choose a costume that makes people laugh rather than scream?

Both! However, I would prefer to wear a cute costume and I would dress my kids up in cute or funny costumes as well.

I prefer funny costumes verses scary ones. My sister in law once dressed up like Mary from There’s Something About Mary movie. It was hilarious!
