Have you ever struggled with feeling misunderstood

It’s hard explaining anxiety to someone who doesn’t feel it. When I’m spiraling, I don’t need advice.. I need calm, patience, and grounding. Just a hug could make me feel better.

My husband has never really experienced anxiety, so it was hard in the beginning of our relationship. Now he’s more patient and learning what makes me feel better when an anxiety attack is forming. I’m also learning to communicate my thoughts better instead of shutting down.

... Read moreFeeling misunderstood during anxiety episodes is a common and painful experience. When someone is caught in the grip of anxiety, what they often need most isn't unsolicited advice but genuine support through calmness, patience, and grounding techniques. Simple gestures, such as a comforting hug, can sometimes speak louder than words and provide immediate relief. It’s also important to acknowledge that partners or close friends who have not personally experienced anxiety may struggle initially to understand what triggers anxiety attacks or how best to respond. This gap in understanding can create frustration on both sides. However, over time and with open communication, loved ones can learn the subtle signs signaling an anxiety attack and develop compassionate responses that make a difference. Improving communication is key for those living with anxiety. Instead of withdrawing or shutting down, sharing one’s feelings and needs calmly allows partners to offer appropriate support. This mutual learning and patience create a safer emotional environment where anxiety can be managed more effectively. In relationships, empathy and education play vital roles. Encouraging loved ones to understand anxiety through shared experiences or trusted resources helps bridge the gap between feeling alone and feeling supported. Approaches such as mindfulness, deep breathing, and creating calming routines together can reinforce bonds and reduce anxiety’s impact. Ultimately, the journey through anxiety and feeling understood is personal yet shared. Building patience, practicing gentle communication, and embracing small supportive actions foster stronger connections and promote healing. For anyone struggling with feeling misunderstood, remember that your experiences are valid, and with time, those around you can learn to walk alongside you with understanding and care.

You don’t have to know how to pray… just start 🤍
Prayer isn’t about saying the perfect words. It’s just being honest with God. You can say, “I don’t know what to say…” “I’m overwhelmed…” “I need help…” That’s enough. You don’t have to sound strong. You don’t have to sound religious. You just have to be real. He’s listening. ❓

How I got closure with my ex
I have a hard time letting go of anything without closure — I have to analyze it, evaluate it, and understand it before I make peace with it But sometimes you don’t get the “I’m sorry.” Sometimes you don’t get the clarity. Closure rarely comes from anyone else’s words…it comes from you. It’s
