Are you comfortable talking about mental health?
When I was in middle school and high school, my mental health was really bad, and the hardest part was feeling like I was completely alone in it. I didn’t have the voice to explain what I was feeling, and no one around me was openly talking about anxiety or depression. I honestly thought something was wrong with me specifically, like everyone else had it figured out and I was just failing at being normal.
Now it feels different. So many people are openly talking about their mental health, sharing their experiences, and normalizing feelings I once thought I had to hide. It’s strange, but also validating. Seeing this openness makes me reflect on my younger self with more compassion, and it honestly changes how I understand my past.

I am a HUGE advocate for mental health. It wasn’t until a few years ago I realized I needed help. Mental health is no joke. I struggle with ADHD, anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder (recently diagnosed) and it has definitely been challenging. I have learned you have to put your mental health first in order to be the best version of yourself and your loved ones.
