Spoonfuls Straight From the Jar… No Shame 😅

I’ve always been that person who will grab a spoon and go straight into a jar of Nutella or peanut butter 😅 it’s just too good to resist. So when I saw the Nutella Peanut version, I didn’t even think twice, I threw it in my cart so fast!!

Honestly… it did not disappoint. It has that same creamy, chocolatey vibe I love, but with peanut that makes it feel a little nuttier. It’s like the perfect mix of two of my favorite guilty pleasures in one jar.

That being said, I still think the original Nutella has my heart forever 💛 but this one is definitely worth trying and I’d for sure buy it again when I want something a little different.

Have you tried the Nutella Peanut yet, or are you loyal to the original like me?

... Read moreOkay, so you know I'm usually all about that original Nutella life, spoon straight to the jar, zero regrets! But when I spotted the NEW Nutella Peanut, my curiosity went into overdrive. I just had to grab it and see if it could possibly rival my beloved classic. And let me tell you, the journey of comparing these two chocolatey delights has been an interesting one! First off, let’s talk about the taste and texture beyond just a quick spoon test. The original Nutella, for me, is that perfect balance of rich chocolate and smooth hazelnut. It’s incredibly creamy and melts in your mouth, making it utterly addictive. It has that distinct, comforting flavor that everyone recognizes. When I tried the Nutella Peanut, I was surprised. It definitely brings a different kind of nutty flavor to the table. It has that familiar chocolatey sweetness, but the roasted peanut taste is quite prominent, giving it a more earthy and, well, peanut-buttery vibe. It felt slightly thicker, almost like a hybrid between Nutella and a gourmet peanut butter spread. While the original melts beautifully, the peanut version holds its texture a bit more, which could be a pro or con depending on what you’re looking for! Now, for something many of us are curious about: the calories! I know, I know, when you’re diving spoon-first into a jar, calories might be the last thing on your mind, but it's good to be informed. According to the labels I've seen, both the original Nutella and the Nutella Peanut spread typically hover around 200 calories per serving. What's a serving, you ask? Usually, it's about 2 tablespoons. So, whether you're enjoying the classic hazelnut or the new peanut variant, the calorie count per scoop is quite similar. This means your choice can truly come down to pure taste preference rather than trying to pick the 'lighter' option. It's not about how many calories are in an entire jar of Nutella (which would be... a lot!), but rather practicing a little portion control if that's something you're mindful of. I personally try to savor each spoonful! And what about the price? From my shopping trips, I've noticed the prices are pretty comparable. The original Nutella jar was around $4.97, while the Nutella Peanut was just a tad less at $4.79. So, there isn't a huge price difference that would sway me one way or another. It’s more about what flavor profile you're craving. For me, the original still gets a perfect 10/10 rating for that nostalgic, classic taste, while the Nutella Peanut gets a strong 9/10 for being a fantastic new contender with its unique roasted peanut twist. Some of you might be wondering about those little details, like finding a knife in the Nutella lid. While some older or specific editions might have had accessories, generally, current jars just come with the standard lid. No hidden knives for spreading—you'll need to grab your own spoon or butter knife! As for the age-old question, 'is peanut butter better than Nutella?' — well, that's like asking if chocolate is better than vanilla! They're both amazing in their own right. Nutella offers a unique chocolate-hazelnut experience, while peanut butter is, well, peanut butter. The Nutella Peanut bridges that gap beautifully, offering the best of both worlds without having to mix two separate jars. So, while I'm still a loyalist to the original, the Nutella Peanut has definitely earned a permanent spot in my pantry for when I'm looking for a delicious, slightly different chocolatey escape. Have you tried it yet? What are your thoughts?
