Usually there is a disconnect added. They ring up the drink as a charge separately because everyone orders something differently. As far as for water. Ya it’s stupid to pay for water. But in order to get the discount for the meal they have to charge you or you will be getting more off. If I order water with a meal, I always get a bottle of water. At least that’s almost worth paying for, instead of the nasty city water!
