I booked a bed at Mayan Monkey Hostel, which cost just under $100 for a few nights in an 10-person dorm. Thatâs a little on the bigger side, but honestly, it worked out. The vibe was fun, the hostel was super social, and it was within walking distance of the hotel zone strip. If youâre down to meet new people and donât mind a shared room, itâs a solid pick!
One of my main activities was Coco Bongo â and yes, I went all out with VIP tickets. My advice? Book your tickets early â the good seats sell out fast. They say they serve food in the VIP section, but be warned: itâs more like bar food (and not the good kind). Eat before you go or plan to grab food after. The performances were fun and chaotic in the best way though, so itâs worth doing once if youâve never been.
