🥰BUY OR BYE: EYELINERS 🥰

I am not one to throw something out until its finished regardless of expiration dates

Unfortunately my eyes dont agree and i had to toss my eyeliners that were YEARS old as they were causing irritation lol

I decided to take advantage of NYX 's 30% off they did last weekend and got some of their NEW Vivid Rich liners.

These are retractable liners. They are more jewel toned than the current retractable liners NYX has .

I got my staple black and brown and then veered into blue, green, and white.

👀Item: Vivid Rich Liners

🛍Brand: NYX Cosmetics

💰Price: $8

Upon swatching they felt a bit dry (??) like I felt like I had to drag them on my skin however once it was warmed up they definitely glided a bit more

***

Wear time on these is pretty standard for a liner. They sit nice in the waterline which is mainly what I use them for. I didnt feel the need to touch up through out the day

BUY OR BYE?

Definitely a good buy!!

... Read moreAfter getting my hands on the NYX Vivid Rich Liners, I was so excited to dive into swatching them! My first impression, much like in the main review, was that they felt a little stiff initially. It almost felt like I had to really press down to get the color to transfer, especially with the brighter shades like the 'Quartz Queen' white or the 'Its Giving Jade' green. However, a quick tip I discovered is to gently warm up the tip on the back of your hand for a few seconds. This really helps loosen up the formula, making them glide on much smoother and with better color payoff, which is exactly what you want for vibrant swatches! Let's talk about the individual shades because these jewel tones are truly something to behold once they're applied. The 'Quartz Queen' white eyeliner is surprisingly opaque; it's not a sheer, chalky white but a really bright, crisp shade that stands out beautifully, perfect for opening up the eyes or creating graphic liner looks. Then there's 'Its Giving Jade,' a stunning medium green that has a beautiful depth to it. It’s not too neon, making it surprisingly wearable for various looks, and it shows up brilliantly on the skin, delivering a true jade hue. 'Sapphire Bling' is exactly what it sounds like – a rich, vibrant blue with a gorgeous shimmer. This one really pops and would be incredible for a statement eye or even just a subtle pop on the lower lash line. For the neutrals, 'Smokin's Topaz' is a warm, deep brown that's perfect for a softer defined look compared to black, and it swatches evenly without any patchiness. And of course, the staple 'Always Onyx' black eyeliner delivers a true, intense black that’s essential for any makeup kit and performs just as reliably as the others. What I really appreciate about these retractable eyeliners after seeing them swatched is their versatility. Even though they felt dry at first, once warmed, the pigmentation is quite impressive across the board. They dry down pretty quickly too, which is great for preventing smudges, and I found that even when I tried to rub the swatches a bit, they held up decently. This longevity on the arm swatches hints at their good wear time on the eyes, especially in the waterline where I typically use them. For just $8, getting such a rich color selection with good performance, especially once you get past that initial dryness, makes them a definite 'buy' in my book. If you're looking to experiment with some new, vibrant jewel-toned liners without breaking the bank, these NYX Vivid Rich Eyeliner swatches should definitely convince you to give them a try!
