Eyes or Base first???
I have been an "eyes first" makeup girl since i started doing makeup
I am extremely routine based and i cant process change super well so I just stick to my routines but lately ive been doing my base first to save time and truly it is so nice ??
No one told me how calming it is to do your base first. It almost speeds up the process once I get it out of the way.
NO ONE TOLD ME THIS
Anyways i have not converted completely to a "base first" gal but trust me im getting there

As someone who has always prioritized eye makeup first, making the switch to a base-first routine was surprisingly refreshing. Initially, I was hesitant because routines can feel like a security blanket, but trying the base first approach has offered some unexpected advantages. One of the most noticeable benefits is how calming it feels to get the base done upfront. It creates a smooth, even canvas, which honestly speeds up the rest of my makeup application. Instead of worrying about accidentally smudging or having to fix imperfections after eye makeup, the whole process feels more streamlined and less stressful. Additionally, I noticed that starting with the base helps in setting the tone for the entire look. It gives me a clearer idea of how much coverage I need and what areas to highlight or conceal. This has especially helped when I’m aiming for full coverage looks, making my makeup appear more flawless and polished. For anyone struggling with routines or fearing change, I recommend easing into this method. Start by applying foundation and concealer first, then move on to your eye makeup. You might find, as I did, that it’s not only therapeutic but also a more efficient way to get ready, particularly on busy mornings. Overall, while I haven’t fully converted to a 'base first' die-hard, I’m definitely leaning towards adopting it more regularly. It’s a small change that offers a big impact on the makeup experience, promoting both speed and calmness in my routine.

I don’t have a preference 😂I can be in the middle of doing one eye then start my face or be doing my base prep and start my eyes.
