Becoming Who I Already Am

☀️I was talking with God the other morning—

just my usual time of stretching, praying, and reaching for His presence before my feet hit the floor.

And I found myself whispering,

“𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘠𝘰𝘶?"

The answer came quietly, but clearly:

“𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑤𝑎𝑦 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑠𝑒𝑒 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟𝑠𝑒𝑙𝑓."

And it's true.

Even after years of walking with Him, there are still days when I wrestle with old lies about my worth, my body, or who l used to be.

Days when I feel that tug of shame trying to

creep back in.

But He reminds me...

"𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒍𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒚 𝒆𝒏𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉. 𝑰'𝒗𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒆.

𝑰 𝒔𝒆𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒆𝒚𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞."

Lately, l've felt that same kind of surrender rising in other areas too —especially with a recent decision to leave behind one wellness company and begin a new chapter with another. On the surface, it may seem like just business, but in my heart, I knew it was part of something much deeper.

It was about choosing alignment over pressure.

Peace over striving.

Wholeness over hustle.

Because real growth?

It doesn't arrive without change.

Jesus has been peeling back layers of who l thought I had to be... and gently showing me who l already am in Him. It's stretching me, yes— but in the best ways.

Romans 12:2 reminds us:

"𝘿𝙤 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙗𝙚 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙙."

It can be hard to silence the voices of the past..

So here I am —letting go, trusting the process, and embracing the beautiful messiness of becoming.

Maybe you're there too.

Maybe there's something in your life-big or

small —that no longer fits who God is shaping you to be.

Can I ask... what would it look like to surrender it? To grow with Him, even if it means embracing the unfamiliar?

If this resonates with your heart, my inbox is open. I'd love to walk this journey with you.

The journey of spiritual and personal growth often involves peeling back the layers of who we think we need to be to uncover our authentic selves. This perspective can be challenging, especially when societal pressures create a conflict between who we are and who the world expects us to be. Key teachings from various spiritual texts encourage believers to embrace their inherent worth and seek renewal of the mind, as reflected in Romans 12:2. Real transformation doesn’t happen overnight; it requires patience, vulnerability, and sometimes a painful breaking away from the familiar. Engaging in practices like meditation, prayer, and reflection can help individuals align more closely with their true identities, fostering a sense of peace and belonging. Additionally, connecting with a supportive community provides reassurance and accountability during this transformative process. It’s essential to acknowledge that growth often feels uncomfortable, yet it is in this discomfort that individuals can cultivate resilience and strength. If you’re at a point where making changes seems daunting, remember that every step toward surrendering to your true self is a step toward fulfillment. This journey is not solitary; many are walking alongside you, seeking the same divine connection and understanding of who they truly are. Embrace the invitation to grow, release the burdens of the past, and welcome the abundant life that lies ahead.
