Grace and Grit

Some days, the victory is just showing up.

Today wasn’t easy.

– My knee still whispers (𝘰𝘬𝘢𝘺, 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘴

𝘪𝘵 𝘴𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮𝘴) at me.

– My asthma decided to add a little 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘦𝘻𝘺 soundtrack to my walk.

– I felt tired before I even began.

But here’s what matters:

❥ 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘸𝘢𝘺.

❥ 𝘐 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘺.

❥ 𝘐 𝘧𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘺 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨.

❥ 𝘐 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 — 𝘱𝘢𝘪𝘯, 𝘵𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘭𝘭.

They say the days you least feel like working

out are actually the days it matters most.

I’m not sure I remember exactly why . .

(𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘮𝘺 𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘺

𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘦𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘺!)

— but deep down, I know it’s true.

Because every time we push through the

hard days with 𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙚 and 𝙜𝙧𝙞𝙩, we’re building something stronger than muscles: we’re

building 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚.

And that’s the kind of strength that

changes everything.

If you’re facing a tough day, too —

➪ remember: 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙪𝙥 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨.

Your small victories are not small at all.
