I see you ..

“ℍ𝕖 𝕤𝕒𝕨 𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕞…

𝕝𝕚𝕜𝕖 𝕤𝕙𝕖𝕖𝕡 𝕨𝕚𝕥𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕥 𝕒 𝕤𝕙𝕖𝕡𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕕.”

— 𝕄𝕒𝕣𝕜 𝟞:𝟛

Yesterday felt heavy. I was running on only

4 hours of sleep, burdened and worn, and I

never even shared the post I had prepared.

But today’s reading in 𝕄𝕒𝕣𝕜 𝟞 reminds me of something deeply needed:

Jesus didn’t just see the crowd.

He felt for them.

And then?

He met their need.

His compassion wasn’t distant.

It was active.

Tender.

Immediate.

And before the miracle of multiplied bread

and fish, there was this sacred moment:

“𝐶𝑜𝑚𝑒 𝑎𝑤𝑎𝑦 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑀𝑒 …”

I realize now, I didn’t need to keep trying

yesterday.

I just needed to step away with Him.

Because that’s where compassion begins.

That’s where the heart refills.

That’s where I am reminded that I, too, have

a Shepherd.

When I step away to be with God, it’s like I’m crawling into the arms of the only One who

truly understands me.

No fixing.

No performance.

Just presence.

It’s there, in that stillness, where my striving

slows and I can breathe again. The ache I’ve

been carrying starts to loosen. My heart, worn

thin from trying to hold it all together, begins to soften in His nearness.

He doesn’t scold me for being tired.

He shepherds me with compassion.

And suddenly, I’m not reacting out of

emptiness, but responding from a place

that’s been gently refilled.

Stepping away isn’t selfish —it’s sacred.

It’s how I remember who I am and who He is.

It’s how I return to others —not drained, but

with love that’s been shaped by His.

Sometimes the prayers we whisper in

weariness are the ones that meet others

best.

I’ve left one in the comments below if your

heart needs a quiet place to land.

Maybe you’ll leave one too? シ

... Read moreIn moments of weariness, it's essential to carve out time for stillness and reflection. This allows individuals to reconnect with their inner selves and nurture their spiritual health. Engaging in prayer and quiet contemplation can lead to profound revelations about one's purpose and direction in life. Many find that through these sacred pauses, the weight of daily burdens eases, and clarity emerges, providing a fresh perspective on challenges faced. Moreover, embracing times of solitude is not a sign of weakness but a necessary act of self-care. Such practices have been shown to cultivate not only inner peace but also a more compassionate outlook towards others. When we acknowledge our vulnerabilities and take time to recharge spiritually, we are better equipped to meet the needs of those around us. This cycle of giving and receiving nurtures a deeper connection with the divine and fosters a community rooted in empathy and understanding. Sometimes, the greatest prayers aren't those spoken aloud, but rather those reflected in our hearts during quiet moments. Taking a moment to listen and be present can enrich the lives of others as they feel the love and compassion we carry within. It's in this exchange of grace that we find true fulfillment and purpose.

Lord, the night before last I tossed and turned, sleep escaping me and pain pressing in. I felt defeated, worn, and undone. But You — You met me here anyway. Not with answers, but with presence. Not with fixes, but with peace. Thank You for seeing me… not as someone who should’ve been stronger, but as someone You love. This morning, I didn’t have to search hard to find You. You were already here —waiting with compassion. Welcoming me to come away and be filled again. Even in the weariness, I belong to You. And that changes everything.
