The Camper, The Coffee and The Light

John 8:12
5:59am.
The sun barely up…
Dew still dripping softly from the camper awning.
Coffee brewing.
Pups nestled on their favorite blanket.
Sweet morning conversation with my man.
And then —
My Bible opens to John 8:12:
“𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥. 𝘞𝘩𝘰𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘴 𝘔𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘬 𝘪𝘯 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦."

As a cosmetologist, light has always been vital.
We can’t see true color without it.
Ever noticed on a cloudy autumn day how even
the most vibrant reds and golds seem dull — until the sun breaks through? Even blondes look different depending on the light shining nearby.
And it’s not just hair color.
Light affects everything — our mood, our skin,
our eyes, even our health.
We literally can’t live without it.
And spiritually?
It’s the same.
When we walk with Yeshua, we don’t just
receive His light — we carry it.
And we’re meant to shine it.
Because someone nearby may be walking
through darkness…
And your light might be the only glimpse of
Him they see today.

He reminds me that I’m not alone in the valley.
That even when the path feels dim and unfamiliar, He’s already walked it ahead of me.
He helps me walk through darkness…
by being the Light within me.
Not just a distant glow I’m trying to reach —
but a Presence I carry. A whisper in the silence.
A steady hand when mine feels shaky.
A peace that doesn’t depend on circumstance.
He doesn’t always remove the shadows —
but He radiates through them.
And sometimes?
He sends a gentle reminder —
through a sunrise, a scripture, or someone else’s kindness —
that Light has not left the room.
So today, I walk with Him.
Even in the dim places.
Because wherever He is…
the dark just doesn’t win. ✨
