Macy 🌸
Today’s post is for the one who still snuggles as close as she can… even as my heart remembers the one I lost. 💕🐾
She jumped up on the ottoman all on her own today — as if she knew it was her special day. I couldn’t resist capturing the moment. 🥹❥

You’ve come such a long way, little one.
These past couple of months haven’t been
easy for either of us.
We still miss our tiny Molly every single day,
and I know you do too.
You shared such a special bond — the way
you always let her go first at the food dish,
how patient and protective you were, and
how you quietly watched over her all those
years. When she left us, it was as if part of
you went with her… and part of me too.
But oh, how proud I am of you.
You’ve faced your fears and found your peace again. Nights that were once filled with anxious pacing are now calm and content. You’ve learned to rest again — close enough to feel safe, and surrounded by love. 💕
Even your groomer said yesterday this was
the calmest, happiest you’ve ever been — no sedation, no stress, just trust.
You’ve gotten tinier with age, but your heart
has only grown. You follow me everywhere, sometimes on my lap, sometimes snuggled
close beside me, always nearby — content
just to be near.
And maybe what makes today even more meaningful is that you were born on the very
day I had to say goodbye to my Shih Tzu,
Murphy. He was 13 when we had to let him go,
and I’d had him since he was three. I didn’t even realize until later that your birthday fell on that same day — as if God already knew my heart
would need you, even then.
💝You’ve been such a gift, Macy.
My little light, my gentle comfort,
my constant companion.
And tonight, when the stars come out,
I’ll whisper Molly’s name too — because love
like ours never really leaves ✨
Happy birthday, sweet girl.
I love you endlessly.♥️🐾
