It Only Took One

It’s strange how it works…

You can receive encouragement from so many places—

kind words, support, little confirmations that you’re on the right path…

and then one voice enters the room.

And somehow… that’s the one that echoes.

That’s the one that tries to rewrite everything.

I had a moment like that this week.

The second review on my book came in as one star—

no words, no explanation.

And I didn’t expect it to hit me the way it did… but it did.

Not because I thought everyone would love it—

but because of what it stirred in me.

A deeper place.

One I’ve known before.

But the very next morning… God met me there.

Not asking me to prove anything.

Not asking me to push harder.

Just this quiet reminder:

Come empty. I’ve got this.

And somehow… that changed everything.
