Any kids with chronic health, please come to join in on the conversation and meet others with Chronic illnesses. For our younger kids, babysitting is not provided so please bring an activity for them to do if they can't play games.

We will meet at the  restaurant first and do an early dinner than spread out to play games separate or together!   I recommend a good car race together or ski bowling!

... Read moreAttending a chronic illness meetup can be a refreshing way to connect with others who truly understand the daily challenges you face. These events provide more than just a social gathering—they offer a safe space where people and caregivers can share experiences, tips, and encouragement. I’ve found that participating in such meetups helps reduce feelings of isolation and brings a sense of belonging to a community that supports one another. For this upcoming meetup on July 22, 2026, in Houston, the organizers have thoughtfully planned an engaging evening that begins with an early dinner at a restaurant, followed by fun group activities such as car racing or ski bowling. These interactive games not only foster camaraderie but also accommodate participants’ varying energy levels and physical abilities, making it accessible for many. Given the warning about seizure triggers due to flashing lights and bells, it’s important to prepare accordingly. If you or a loved one is sensitive to such stimuli, consider attending only the dinner portion or bringing any necessary precautionary items, such as sunglasses or noise-canceling headphones. Children with chronic conditions are encouraged to join the conversation, creating an inclusive environment where young attendees can feel supported and understood. While babysitting is not provided, bringing quiet activities for younger children is a helpful tip to ensure everyone has an enjoyable evening. RSVP on the Facebook event page so the organizers can estimate attendance accurately, ensuring there are enough seats and enough fun for all. Overall, events like this are vital for mental and emotional well-being. Sharing stories and laughs in a casual setting can uplift spirits, inspire resilience, and build friendships that extend beyond the meetup itself. Whether you come to unwind, seek support, or enjoy new connections, this Chronic Illness Fun Night is a wonderful opportunity to embrace community and normalize living with chronic illness.
