Hey fellow IDV players! I know the grind for rank can be tough, but it's also incredibly rewarding. After countless hours in the manor, I've gathered some insights and strategies that have really helped me climb. I'm excited to share my journey and some actionable tips to help you conquer the Identity V rank system. First off, let's talk about the rank system itself. From Worker Bee to Dragon, each tier presents unique challenges. It's not just about winning; it's about understanding your role, consistently performing well, and adapting to different team compositions. Every point matters, and learning from each match, whether a win or a loss, is key to progression. One of the most critical aspects of survivor gameplay in rank is the 'cipher rush.' Early game decoding is paramount. My personal rule of thumb is to aim for at least two ciphers popped before the first survivor is downed. If I see '2 cipher(s) remaining' early on, I know we're in a good spot. Coordinate with your team – avoid stacking ciphers if possible, and always be aware of the hunter's presence. Sometimes, splitting up and working on individual ciphers is the fastest way to get to that '1 cipher(s) remaining' critical point. Effective kiting buys precious time for your teammates to decode. It's not about surviving forever, but about making the hunter waste as much time as possible. And when you do get hit, knowing when and where to attempt 'Self-healing' is a game-changer. Is the hunter far away? Are there no teammates nearby to heal you? A quick self-heal can buy you enough time to get to a safer spot or even finish a cipher. Always consider the potential risk versus reward. When things go south and you're the last survivor, don't give up! The 'Dungeon revealed' message is your beacon of hope. Knowing common dungeon spawn locations and making a beeline for them can turn a loss into a draw. It's a high-stakes escape, and often requires quick thinking and a bit of luck, but it's always worth trying. As a big fan of playing as the 'Cowboy,' I can tell you he's incredibly impactful in rank matches, especially with good coordination. His lasso isn't just for rescuing; it can be used to pull survivors away from dangerous situations, rescue from balloons, or even kite the hunter by getting a quick boost over obstacles. Mastering his lasso takes practice, but a well-timed rescue or stun can completely turn the tide of a match. Communication is key when playing Cowboy – let your team know you're coming for the save! Ultimately, climbing the IDV rank system is a marathon, not a sprint. Don't get discouraged by losses. Instead, review your replays, identify areas for improvement, and learn from your mistakes. Watching high-level gameplay, practicing your kiting, and communicating with your team are all crucial. Every match is an opportunity to get better. I hope these personal insights and tips help you on your rank journey. It's truly satisfying to see your hard work pay off as you move up the tiers. Keep practicing, keep having fun, and I'll see you in the manor!
