Huntington Beach 🏝️
My recent trip to Huntington Beach was absolutely fantastic, and I wanted to share some of my personal tips and why I loved it so much! If you're planning a visit, here's what made my day special. First off, the Huntington Beach Pier is an absolute must-stroll. I spent a good amount of time walking its length, just soaking in the views of the blue ocean and watching the surfers catch waves. It’s such a quintessential California experience. The air was so fresh under the clear sky, and it’s the perfect spot for some relaxed people-watching or just enjoying the vastness of the Pacific. I actually wore my comfy black leggings and an 'ESSENTIALS 77' sweatshirt (which was perfect for the ocean breeze!) and a cap, making it super easy to move around and explore. Trust me, comfortable activewear is key for a day here! Beyond the pier, the energy of Surf City USA is just contagious. Even if you're not a surfer, you'll love watching them. There are often lessons available right on the beach if you're feeling adventurous. For those who prefer land activities, the bike path along the coast is amazing. You can rent bikes nearby and cruise for miles, enjoying the scenery. I saw so many people jogging and biking, making the most of the beautiful weather. One thing I always look for when visiting a new beach town is good food, and Huntington Beach did not disappoint! There are so many great spots right near the pier, from casual cafes to nicer restaurants with ocean views. I grabbed a quick bite at a place overlooking the beach, and it was the perfect fuel after my walk. Don't forget to check out the shops on Main Street too – lots of cute boutiques and surf shops to browse. For parking, I usually try to get there a bit earlier in the day, especially on weekends, to snag a spot in one of the public lots near the pier. It can get busy, but it's worth it for the convenience. And if you're staying until evening, definitely try to catch a sunset over the Pacific – absolutely breathtaking! Some evenings, you can even find bonfires on the beach, which creates such a cozy and memorable atmosphere. What I loved most about Huntington Beach was how much there was to do without feeling overwhelmed. It’s a place where you can be as active or as relaxed as you want. Whether you're standing on the large rocks taking in the crashing waves, walking along the concrete pier, or simply lounging on the sand, it offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and vibrant beach town life. I definitely recommend adding it to your travel list!
