Back To College At 29✏️📚
I have finally stopped procrastinating and enrolled back in school after years. I am starting on Monday😬 My anxiety is at an all time high. But I continue to pray. If you have any recommendations/study tips for anatomy and physiology, I would greatly appreciate it.
Starting back to college as a 29-year-old mom of two is definitely a unique and brave decision. I can relate to the mix of excitement and anxiety you're feeling, especially when tackling a challenging subject like anatomy and physiology (A&P). From my experience, breaking down study materials into smaller, consistent daily sessions really helps make the content more manageable. For A&P, using visual aids such as diagrams, flashcards, and 3D apps can boost your understanding of complex systems in the body. Another tip is to form or join study groups—even virtual ones—where you can discuss topics and quiz each other. Teaching concepts to someone else is a powerful way to reinforce your own learning. Don’t hesitate to reach out to your professors during office hours if you find yourself stuck on something; they’re usually very supportive. Managing anxiety is equally important. Setting realistic goals and celebrating small victories can keep motivation high. Remember to schedule breaks, exercise, and maintain a healthy sleep routine to keep your mind sharp. Lastly, always keep in mind why you started this journey—it’s possible to succeed at any age with dedication and the right strategies. Wishing you the best as you start your classes next week!
