Ouchi-juku: 400 years of straw roof village!!

Since the beginning of this year, we have had the opportunity to go to Japan for 3 rounds!!

Now it's probably time to post it after disappearing for a long time, haha.

The ancient village of Ouchi-juku is in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. The village was originally the resting point of travelers in the Edo period about 400 years ago.

In the old days, people would come to rest, eat, change horses, and then go on. What made Ouchi-juku special was that...He kept the traditional straw-roofed house intact, coming in like a time machine back in time! 🏠✨

In the village, there are cute shops lining the two sides of the road.

There are native shops, soba shops, souvenir shops and other eating-and-playing restaurants.

* * Secretly whispering that if buying, suggest to sit and eat because if walking to eat, some shopkeepers may peek a little hard (from personal events, haha)

📌 Highlights

1. Negi Soba - A cold soba that uses a leek instead of chopsticks (a signature that can't be missed, but we missed it.

2. Scenic spot on the hill at the end of the village. 📸

3. Toasted old Japanese dessert with sauce

4. If you go in February, there will be the Ouchi-juku Snow Festival. ❄️ The whole village will be covered in snow, and the lanterns will be adorned with water.
