☕️ coffee shop: highland coffees
📍location: 3350 highland rd
overall rating: i would rate highland coffees a 3.67/5
(i know specific) because i do like the cozy welcoming environment to study but i’m not a huge fan of their brew (that’s just my opinion) so i only get their iced matcha or frozen beverages but i do enjoy them along with their pastries and food but i still recommend going there because you will be able to find something you like!
what i like to order there: iced matcha with vanilla and hazelnut, any of their frozen beverages, their muffins

overall rating: i would rate starbucks a 4.9/5
(again with being specific) because come on it’s a classic coffee shop. starbucks usually has very chill vibes and usually perfect to study or just relax. i only ranked it as a 4.9 instead of a 5 because of their prices but hey, i’m not a big complainer on it because it’s addicting.
what i like to order there: iced matcha, iced white chocolate mocha, iced caramel macchiato, pink drink (and i usually spruce them all up with flavors or cold foams or both!)

📍locations: (1) lsu student union, tower drive (2) 100 tower drive (lsu library location) (3) arlington creek, 640 center ct blvd
overall rating: i would rate cc’s a 4/5 (not specific for once). i love cc’s, mostly because they use community coffee which is a “local” business, however they don’t have a huge menu when it comes to their drinks so that’s why i docked points. i enjoy their mochassippis, their smoothies, and their food but other than that there’s no huge appeal or wow factor to me when it comes to cc’s except the seasonal king cake mochassippi.
what i like to order there: any of their mochassippis- you HAVE to try the king cake one at least once- always with the whip and the works, any of their smoothies- the blueberry pomegranate is my usual go to, sausage cheddar pretzel, and their cake balls- my favorites have been the wedding cake ones and the seasonal king cake ones. i also plan on trying their iced refreshers soon!

📍location: 4005 nicholson drive (located in the front suite of southgate towers apartments)
overall rating: i would rate pura vida a 5/5 (i know a perfect score)! i have loved everything i’ve tried there and they keep coming out with new drinks i want to try. their brew is good to me, so no complaints there! the vibes are immaculate, with coastal vibes decorated with palm trees, plants, and furniture and they have the cutest bathroom! and it has 2 floors, which makes it so great for studying!
what i like to order there: iced matcha, iced caramel macchiato, avocado toast, and various pastries. i want to try their cereal milk matcha, pink burst energizer, and kiwi crush drink soon!
*update i’ve recently tried the cereal milk matcha and it doesn’t disappoint*

📍location: 5821 creek centre drive
overall rating: i would rate 7 brew a 4.63/5 (back to being specific) because they have some great drinks on the menu but the best drinks are the ones off the menu and even the ones on the menu you have to spice them up with sweeteners, syrups, and cold foams, so that’s why i’ve docked points. however, everything i’ve had here i truly enjoyed and thought it was worth it.
what i like to order there: any iced coffee orders off tiktok, their smoothies, and their muffins. i also plan on trying their iced energy drinks soon!

overall rating: i would rate new york bagel a 4/5 because i haven’t had anything bad here. it is mostly food here because it isn’t a true coffee shop, but they offer a good variety of coffee beverages both iced and hot with several flavor options.
what i like to order there: sweet cream iced coffee, pizza bagel, garlic bagel, savory bagel chips with veggie cream cheese, sweet cinnamon sugar bagel chips with strawberry or blueberry cream cheese.
