... Read moreChristmas is my absolute favorite time of year, and I love planning out all the festive fun! To make sure we capture every bit of holiday magic, I always put together a special Christmas checklist. It’s not just about getting things done, but about creating those cherished memories that last a lifetime. If you're looking for some fantastic Christmas season ideas or a complete Christmas to-do list, you've come to the right place! One of the first things on my list is always decorating the Tree. It’s a wonderful family activity – we put on some Christmas music, sip on hot cocoa, and hang our favorite ornaments, old and new. This year, we're even planning a Christmas Craft Night to make some DIY decorations and perhaps craft a stocking for a new family member. It adds such a personal touch! And what’s Christmas without treats? Baking and decorating Cookies is an absolute must. I love trying new recipes, but the classic sugar cookies are always a hit, especially when the kids get to help with the frosting and sprinkles. We also try to Make a Gingerbread House each year, which usually ends up being more about the candy than the structure, but it’s so much fun! And of course, having candy canes around for a quick festive treat is essential. Don't forget to Leave Treats for Santa + Rudolph on Christmas Eve – it’s a tradition that brings so much joy. Beyond the home, there’s so much to explore. We always make time to Look At Christmas Lights around our neighborhood and beyond. There’s something truly magical about seeing houses lit up. For a cozy night in, a Christmas Movie Marathon is perfect. We pick our favorite classics and curl up under blankets with popcorn. When the snow falls, we're out there ready to Play in the Snow and maybe even Build a Snowman or Go sledding if there's a good hill nearby. Connecting with loved ones is key. Sending out Christmas cards is a thoughtful way to reach out to friends and family near and far. If you have little ones, writing a Letter To Santa is a sweet tradition that sparks their imagination. And let’s not forget the joy of giving: Buy/Make Christmas Presents with love and thought. For family fun, we love to Play Family Games and sometimes even Go Caroling with neighbors – it’s a great way to spread cheer! To build anticipation, Make an Advent Calendar at the beginning of December. It's a daily dose of excitement! And for capturing those precious moments, Take a Christmas Family Photo. It’s a great way to mark the year and see how everyone has grown. Finally, to truly immerse ourselves in the season, we practically live in our Christmas PJs and keep Christmas Music playing non-stop. I hope this expanded Christmas checklist gives you plenty of ideas for a memorable and joyful holiday season. These traditions, big and small, are what make Christmas so special for me, and I’m sure they’ll bring warmth and happiness to your home too!
