Books and Songs
It's time to bring this back. Giving books songs! It's a way for me to showcase what I read but also what I've been listening to.
No Body, No Crime was tough I almost switched it with Secrets by the Pierces but that felt to on the nose.
Better Dig Two is a classic.
Ain't No Mountain High Enough is so much fun.
I've been listening to Luvcat and really wanted to add one of her songs.

Combining books with songs creates a unique and immersive way to experience stories beyond the written word. In my personal experience, choosing songs that reflect the themes, emotions, or characters of a book adds an extra layer of enjoyment. For instance, "No Body, No Crime" by Taylor Swift, a song that tells a suspenseful story, complements mystery novels that keep you guessing until the end. Although I considered "Secrets" by The Pierces, it felt a bit too obvious for that vibe. Classic songs like "Better Dig Two" by The Band Perry are perfect for books with themes of unwavering love and commitment. The energy and lyrics align seamlessly with narratives about relationships that withstand challenges. Similarly, "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell is an uplifting duet that resonates with stories about determination and strong bonds, making it a fun and inspiring listening choice while reading. Recently, I've been tuning into Luvcat, whose songs bring a fresh indie vibe that fits perfectly with modern, introspective reads. Selecting a song from her collection helps add a contemporary soundtrack that matches the tone of certain books I enjoy. I find that pairing musical duets or narrative-driven songs with books enhances immersion and emotional connection, turning reading sessions into multi-sensory experiences. Whether it's a suspense, romance, or coming-of-age story, the right song can echo the book's mood and deepen your engagement with its world. If you enjoy blending your love of reading with music, try creating your own playlist for the books you read. It’s a fun way to extend the story beyond the page and discover new music that complements your favorite reads. This approach also helps showcase and share what you've read and listened to, enriching your literary and musical journeys alike.
