Day 1 of making our guest room usable
Okay kind of a click bait title because it is usable just not pretty.
For context: My boyfriend and I are living in a house owned by his Grandpa that my boyfriend's brother was originally tasked with taking care of. Unfortunately he didn't really take that seriously and the house got a little gross and now needs new paint because he wiped boogers on the wall. Because supposedly I'm a responsible adult we have been tasked with making the house our home and hosting his Grandfather when he wants to come home.
This back room is also his grandpa's room but I was given permission to change it around to where it's a functional guest room. Unfortunately there is a bunch of trash under the bed and on the other side that I haven't been able to clean up yet.
Things I can change: the bed has to stay. I'm planing on putting it against the wall to open the room up and make it more wheel chair accessible.
I'm allowed to paint the room, change the bed spread, add pillows and decor. I think we eventually want to add a small tv but not yet.
My goal is to get at least part of it done before this weekend when my sister comes over.
If anyone has any advice on what they would do or what type of decor is best please let me know.
