Start by honoring your physical and social boundaries, and communicate these clearly to others. Understanding your triggers is essential; learn to recognize the cues your body sends when you're feeling overwhelmed. This can involve revisiting challenging places but doing so with supportive friends can transform these experiences into opportunities for healing. Additionally, practice self-care regularly; this can include activities that nourish your body and mind. Speaking to a therapist can also provide a professional perspective and help guide your healing journey. Remember, recovery is a process, and it's okay to take small steps. Surround yourself with nurturing relationships and create safe spaces where you can authentically express yourself and begin to heal from past wounds.
