A high-protein, gluten-free breakfast sandwich that’s perfect for when you’re on the go. I used chicken breakfast sausage patty and cheddar cheese - options are endless though! Save this to try for your next meal prep! @Canyon Bakehouse #CanyonBakehousePartner

Recipe:

- 6 eggs, scrambled

- 1 tbsp milk

- 1/2 tsp salt

- 1/4 tsp black pepper

- 6 breakfast patties

- 6 cheddar cheese slices

- 6 Canyon Bakehouse Honey Whole Grain English Muffins

- Butter

Pre-oven to 325° Fahrenheit, and grease an 8 x 8 baking dish. With the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.

Per egg mixture into greased pan and bake for 18 to 22 minutes, or until the center is set. Do not overcook.

Remove baking pan from oven and allow to cool before cutting it into six sections. Assemble the English muffin, egg cheese, sausage patty, and top of muffin.

Heat sandwiches at 350°F for 10 to 15 minutes or until the sandwich is hot and cheese is melted.

Freeze: Wrap each sandwich with parchment paper or tinfoil, in place in freezer, safe resealable bag, removing all the air before closing. Freeze up to one month.

Reheat: Thaw in fridge overnight, reheat sandwiches at 350°F for about 10-15 minutes in the oven or toaster, or until sandwich is hot and cheese is melted.

... Read moreHey everyone! If you're anything like me, busy mornings can make sticking to healthy eating a real challenge, especially when you're looking for high-protein and gluten-free options. That's why I absolutely swear by these healthy freezer breakfast sandwiches. They've been a total game-changer for my meal prep routine, making 'grab and go' mornings not just possible, but delicious! Why go high-protein and gluten-free for breakfast? Well, for me, a protein-packed start means I stay fuller longer, avoiding that mid-morning slump and those tempting unhealthy snacks. Plus, being gluten-free, it keeps my gut happy without sacrificing flavor. These sandwiches truly hit the spot, giving you sustained energy without the bloat, which is essential for a productive day. It's one of my top 'high protein breakfast ideas gluten free' that actually works for my busy schedule. The beauty of these healthy freezer breakfast sandwiches is how incredibly versatile they are. While my recipe uses yummy chicken breakfast sausage patties and cheddar, the options really are endless! Think about swopping your protein – maybe some crispy bacon, turkey sausage, or even a veggie patty for a plant-based twist. And cheese? I love my cheddar, but a slice of Swiss, provolone, or even pepper jack can totally change the vibe. The OCR mentioned 'different cheeses' and 'bacon breakfast sausage,' and it's so true – don't be afraid to experiment! You can even add some sautéed spinach or bell peppers to your egg mixture for extra veggies. Using 'HOLE GRAIN' English Muffins, like the Canyon Bakehouse ones I love, gives them a fantastic texture and taste that perfectly balances the savory fillings, making them a fantastic 'gluten free high protein meal idea'. For the ultimate meal prep hack, make a big batch of these on a Sunday. They freeze beautifully, making your weekday mornings a breeze. Just wrap each one tightly, as the recipe suggests, and you've got a week (or even a month!) of delicious breakfasts ready to go. I even saw someone suggest adding little positive reminders or quotes on the wrapper, and I think that's such a sweet idea – a little motivation boost with your breakfast! And hey, I know it might be controversial, but I'm a 'ketchup girl' through and through, so a little squeeze on the side is a must for me after reheating! While these sandwiches are my absolute favorite, remember that a 'list of gluten free breakfast foods' and 'high protein breakfast ideas gluten free' can extend further. Think about pairing your sandwich with a side of fruit, or on days you have a little more time, try a gluten-free protein pancake mix with berries, or a savory bowl of scrambled eggs with avocado and black beans. The key is to keep it exciting and nutritious. These healthy freezer breakfast sandwiches are just one fantastic way to ensure you're starting your day right, full of energy and flavor. Give this recipe a try, and let me know your favorite variations!
