Dear, my brothers and sisters in Christ😗🩷
- Do you struggling with backsliding in your faith?
- Are you a new believer?
- Maybe you don’t really understand the Bible or God in general?
- Or maybe you just want to hear about another Christian’s experience(s).
• Hi, my name is Catherine and I am in love with Jesus! ❤️🔥✝️🫶
My journey with God has been very bumpy over the past few years, I have struggled with backsliding a LOT. But that’s okay, because God gives us grace and has so much love and everlasting forgiveness for us! ❤️🩹
Now, it has taken me quite awhile to get to where I am in my relationship with the Father, and trust me… we still have our moments where I’m not the best daughter.
I never really understood the importance of community. I used to NOT be a people person let’s just say that, and with my mental health over the years when I got depressed or just in a slump, I would isolate myself from everyone and everything around me and let me tell you it didn’t make anything better. I have finally found the most beautiful group of ladies (of all different ages!) that will legit go to war in prayer over me if I need it. God NEVER intended us to go through life alone! That’s why He created Eve from Adam, and sent His one and only son, Jesus, on Earth as a BABY to not only experience our human life and go through all of the same struggles but the SHARE THE GOSPEL. Being in community helps us do God’s will of sharing His good word. ✝️🫂
- Now, self discipline was and still is very difficult for me. But I can tell you, the more time you spend with God on a daily basis and talk to Him, and let Him talk to you the more you will start to WANT to be in His presence. The more you’ll start to see yourself (and those around you) the way He does. The more His plan for you and your life will all start to fall in place, but you can’t quit! That’s where the self discipline comes into play. It’s easy for the devil to get into your head and get you distracted from what is important. But when the enemy starts to get into your mind, YOU ARE ALLOWED and SUPPOSED to rebuke him and his lies out of your mind, body and spirit, and it’s so much easier than you think!
*Try This* “In the name of the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit, I rebuke any & all source of evil, darkness, & lies out of my mind, body, heart, and home!”
The devil is SO intimidated and scared of Jesus that he has no choice but to go back to his pit of fire where he came from. Yall the devil is a FOOL don’t even get me started😭
- Trust. I know, it’s hard. If you can’t trust an old friend with a secret or a boy who doesn’t know how to keep his drawls up how can you trust God?
But listen, that’s what is so AMAZING about God. If you sit down and read the Bible and really take in all of the beauty in some of His words it makes you think… “how can I not trust the one who put so much intricate detail and love into every part of His creations?” ✨Genesis 1:31✨ says, “God saw all that He had made, and it was very good…” this verse is just one example of how much love and attention to detail He put into creation.
✨Hebrews 11:1✨ says, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for, and assurance about what we do not see.” We have to stand strong and firm in our prayers and in our relationships with the Father or it won’t work out. You have to trust in Him and you’ll learn that all he wants is the best for you and you’ll see that all unfold as you spend time with Him!
- I know this was a lot babes, so I apologize lol but I hope this helps at least one person who is maybe looking for some answers and/or reassurance. 🥰
I love you, Jesus loves you, I hope you’re doing amazing 🥰🩷
Love, your sister in Christ! <3

Wow, reading through my journey with God, I realize there's so much more to share about how these principles truly change your life! You know, when I talked about 'Trust!', that's honestly the biggest point. It's not just a feeling; it's a decision. I remember seeing that verse, Hebrews 11:1, 'Now faith is confidence in what we hope for, and assurance about what we do not see.' For the longest time, I struggled with what that actually looked like daily. How do you have confidence in things you can't see? It really clicked for me when I started applying Proverbs 3:5-6: 'Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.' It was a huge relief to realize I didn't have to figure everything out. My job was to trust, and His job was to make the paths straight. This brought so much peace, especially when I was worrying about my future or past mistakes. Speaking of worry, let's talk about Philippians 4:6-7, which I’ve found to be a total game-changer. The OCR mentioned, 'DON'T WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING: INSTEAD PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING.' This isn't just a nice thought; it's a command with a promise. I used to be such a worrier – about school, relationships, my spiritual walk. But learning to truly 'present requests to God with thanksgiving for His peace' has transformed my anxiety. Instead of spiraling, I now consciously give my worries to God in prayer, thanking Him in advance for His peace that transcends all understanding. It's not always easy, but it’s always worth it. Another powerful truth I've embraced, especially when I felt lost or unsure of my path, comes from John 10:9 NIV: 'I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.' This verse, for me, is about finding true spiritual security and purpose in Jesus. It assures me that He is the way to safety and provision. When I was feeling isolated or struggling with backsliding, remembering that Jesus is my 'gate' helped me realize I wasn't just aimlessly wandering. He leads me to 'pasture' – places of rest, nourishment, and purpose. It's a beautiful metaphor for how He cares for us. And for anyone struggling with 'Self Discipline!' and wanting to overcome backsliding, 1 Corinthians 15:56-58 has been a huge boost. It says, 'The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.' This reminds me that I don't fight sin in my own strength. Jesus already gave us the victory! This truth empowers me to 'stand firm' and be consistent in my daily walk with Him. It's not about being perfect, but about relying on His strength to keep moving forward. Sometimes, when I feel like I'm hitting a wall, I think of 'spring is the new year.' It’s a reminder that every season, even spiritual dry spells, can be a time for new beginnings and renewal with God. Just like spring brings new life after winter, God can bring fresh purpose and power into our lives, no matter how much we've stumbled. It's never too late for a fresh start with Him. My prayer is that these 'Tips that help me stay focused on God's plan for me' encourage you to lean deeper into His word and experience His transforming power!
