Hi Everyone!!

Just giving an update on my journey with #glp1weightloss

I made it to the 130’s! I’m so proud of myself!

NOTE👉🏼 I am not consistently taking weekly injections. I have spaced mine out for more “maintenance” purposes. [Every 15-20 days]

{I’ve been doing this since about Jan/Feb 2025}

**took a break from March-May and didn’t gain but maybe 5lbs back**

I plan to start weekly injections again soon because for my height I should be about 15lbs smaller. I don’t really go off “BMI” because if I went solely off my height alone, I would look sick.

That's when I decided to embark on my Tirzepatide journey. Seeing the incredible transformation to 137lbs, a total of 37lbs lost, is truly motivating, and I'm so excited to share more about how I got here. Starting with Tirzepatide, specifically at a 25-unit dose, was a game-changer. The initial weeks were a learning curve, understanding how my body responded. The weight didn't just melt off overnight, but the consistent progress was undeniable. I focused on making smarter food choices, listening to my body's hunger cues, and staying as active as possible. It wasn't always easy, and there were days I felt discouraged, but remembering my 'why' kept me going. One significant aspect of my journey has been learning about maintenance. After achieving a substantial loss, I transitioned to spacing out my injections, usually every 15-20 days, rather than weekly. This wasn't a recommendation from a doctor, but a personal strategy I adopted to see if I could maintain my new weight more flexibly. What I discovered during this period was crucial: consistency is key, but so is understanding your body's needs. I learned to identify triggers for overeating and developed coping mechanisms that didn't involve food. Interestingly, I took a complete break from March to May. I was a bit nervous, fearing I'd regain everything. To my surprise, I only gained back about 5lbs. This experience was incredibly empowering, as it showed me that the habits I'd built were genuinely sticking. It wasn't just the medication doing all the work; I had fundamentally changed my relationship with food and movement. This period solidified my belief that this journey is about sustainable lifestyle changes, not just a temporary fix. Now, as I look ahead, I'm planning to resume weekly injections. While I've made fantastic progress, I still aim to lose about 15 more lbs to reach a weight that feels optimal for my height. I don't strictly adhere to BMI charts because, for me, it's more about how I feel, my energy levels, and my overall health rather than just a number. My focus is on feeling strong and vibrant. To anyone considering their own weight loss journey, especially with GLP-1 medications like Tirzepatide, I'd say: be patient, be kind to yourself, and celebrate every small victory. Take photos, keep a journal, and track your progress beyond the scale. Understanding your 'before' and appreciating your 'after' is incredibly powerful. It's a marathon, not a sprint, and every step forward counts.
