Only 3.5 lbs to go!
I’ve almost lost 10 pounds in 30 days!! 🎉🎉
What’s working: FASTING!
Not eating out is tough for me, so I’ve decided to fast in the morning, and eat my first meal around 12. When dinner comes around, if I’m hungry, I’ll eat something small. Otherwise, I’ll skip it.
Reasons fasting is good for weight loss and health:
1. Creates a Calorie Deficit
2. Boosts Fat Burning
3. Improves Insulin Sensitivity
4. Reduces Cravings and Appetite Over Time
5. Enhances Hormone Function
6. Promotes Cellular Repair (Autophagy)
7. Simplifies Eating
8. Reduces Inflammation
9. May Improve Gut Health
10. Encourages Mindful Eating

When I first started my 30-day challenge to lose 10 lbs in 4 weeks, I was a bit skeptical, but seeing results like my 'TODAY 148.7 LBS.' after starting at '155.2' really kept me motivated! My approach to intermittent fasting wasn't just about skipping meals; it was about truly understanding my body and building sustainable habits for better intermittent fasting results. For me, the 16/8 method (fasting for 16 hours, eating within an 8-hour window) became my sweet spot. I’d typically break my fast around noon with a nutrient-dense meal to fuel my afternoon. This helped immensely in avoiding the mid-morning snack trap and kept my energy levels steady. What did I eat? Think lean protein like chicken or fish, plenty of colorful vegetables, and healthy fats from avocado or nuts. This wasn't a strict diet, but focusing on whole, unprocessed foods made a huge difference in how I felt and contributed to a healthy calorie deficit. One tip I learned quickly: staying hydrated is absolutely essential! I made sure to drink plenty of water throughout my fasting window, often adding a slice of lemon or cucumber for a little flavor boost. This really helped curb initial hunger pangs and supported my overall well-being, just like the daily water intake goals mentioned in my challenge tracker. Sometimes, a plain black coffee or herbal tea also helped me push through. Another crucial aspect for achieving impressive intermittent fasting results was incorporating light activity. While the OCR mentioned daily steps as a goal, I personally found that even a brisk 30-minute walk during my fasting window boosted my metabolism and helped with mental clarity. It's not about intense workouts initially, but consistent movement throughout the day can significantly enhance your body's fat-burning capabilities. Listen to your body. There were days I felt hungrier than usual, and I learned to adjust, sometimes extending my eating window slightly or ensuring my meals were extra packed with protein and healthy fats. This wasn't about deprivation, but rather strategic eating that fueled me adequately. I also found that planning my meals ahead of time prevented impulsive, unhealthy choices when my eating window opened. This proactive approach made it easier to maintain the calorie deficit necessary for steady weight loss over the 30-day period. Beyond just the numbers on the scale, the non-scale victories were incredible. My sleep improved, I felt more focused during the day, and my energy levels were more consistent, without the usual afternoon slump. This holistic improvement in how I felt day-to-day is what truly makes intermittent fasting a sustainable lifestyle for me. If you’re considering starting your own 30-day challenge or aiming to lose 10 lbs, remember to track your progress (like my 'WEEK 3 Update'), stay hydrated, incorporate movement, and most importantly, be patient and kind to yourself throughout the journey. The incredible intermittent fasting results I've seen show that consistency truly pays off, and I’m so close to my 'GOAL 145.2 LBS.'!
