If you want to see a spine turn into a Jenga tower, just add a dryer sheet to a tile laundry room floor. My lower back is still suffering from the three herniated discs and a dislocated SI joint, a year later.

When my paid medical leave expired and the payments stopped, I was still undergoing multiple injections and procedures and not cleared to go back to work. I tried active side hustles. Turns out babysitting, pet sitting, and food delivery are just as damaging when your spine is held together by thoughts and prayers (and an entire shelf in my medicine cabinet).

I needed to work from the safety of my couch, where I can freely deal with the medic#embracevulnerability ation side effects. I spent weeks searching "work from home," which is a literal minefield of scammers, and I was their target. I was frustrated, overwhelmed, and flat out broke.

There was no way I was the only one scammers could spot from space, but it forced me to filter out the garbage and find the true opportunities.
