making new friends as an adult…. let’s talk about
MAKING NEW FRIENDS IN YOUR 20'S OR 30'S? ~
This may sound challenging, but it’s definitely doable. I think a mix of lockdown and the increase in WFH employees has made it more difficult to form new friendships in adulthood
SO, how do you make new friends as adults?
My tips…
-join clubs!!! this is a great way to meet new people who share the same interest as you
-don’t be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone
-put the effort and be intentional with forming new friendships
-attend social events and gatherings
-be your GENUINE self and this will attract the same energy back
-attend local / neighborhood events

Making friends as an adult can feel daunting, especially in a post-pandemic world. With more people working from home (WFH) and the toll of social distancing, it's important to find creative ways to connect with others. One effective strategy is joining clubs or hobby groups that align with your interests; this not only helps in meeting like-minded people but also enhances your skills and passions. Additionally, don’t shy away from stepping outside your comfort zone. Trying new activities or attending local meetups can lead to unexpected friendships. Being intentional with your efforts is key. Setting aside time to engage in social activities and prioritize making new connections can yield positive results. Attend community events or workshops that pique your interest, and be open to conversations with new acquaintances. Lastly, remember to be your genuine self. Authenticity attracts like-minded individuals and fosters deeper relationships. Making friends may take time and effort, but the rewards of meaningful connections make it worthwhile.
