life lessons I have learned in my 30’s 🌿

Here are some hard lessons I’ve learned in my 30’s ~

1: it’s ok to not have or want kids yet…

I genuinely thought in my early 20’s that 30 was the year I would settle down and have a family. This is definitely not the case and everyone is different, but don’t feel pressured to have kids or start a family just because you are in your “30s”

2: you will outgrow some friendships…

You are constantly growing and evolving, and sometimes that means outgrowing friendships. However, you will also make so many new friendships along the way

3: comparison is the thief of joy…

Comparing yourself to others or wanting someone else’s life based on what’s portrayed on social media will destroy you. Instead, find your purpose and focus on finding genuine happiness to live a happier and fuller life

4: step out of your comfort zone…

Don’t be afraid to go out of your comfort zone. Put yourself out there. Join clubs, build community, and connect with other like minded individuals who can help you grow

... Read moreEntering your 30s can be a transformative time in life, often filled with reflection and reevaluation of personal goals. One crucial lesson is that it's perfectly fine if you don't wish to start a family yet. Societal expectations can create undue pressure, but embracing one's unique timeline is essential. Another vital insight is understanding that not all friendships will endure the test of time. Over the years, maintaining connections with genuine individuals becomes increasingly important while recognizing that some relationships may no longer serve you. Comparison, especially in the age of social media, can rob you of joy. It's paramount to focus on your journey and find happiness within rather than fixating on others. Establishing your own goals based on personal desires instead of external standards is the foundation for authentic well-being. Lastly, taking risks by stepping outside your comfort zone can yield incredible opportunities for growth. Whether it’s joining new clubs or connecting with like-minded people, embracing vulnerability can enhance your life and lead to unforeseen adventures. In conclusion, while the path through your 30s may not resemble the conventional one, it can be an enriching chapter full of learning experiences.
