things I wish I knew sooner on my trauma recovery…
1: don’t be afraid to open up to loved ones. They care more than you probably think and want to support and uplift you
2: healing takes time and there is no timeline for when you need to “move on”
3: set boundaries and protect your peace.
4: it’s ok to seek professional help and do therapy
5: finding purpose and seeking healing through religion or meditation can be LIFE changing
6: journal your progress. It’s a great way to track your feelings, growth and progress
Reminder that healing isn’t linear. Be kind and patient to yourself, always.

Trauma recovery can be an overwhelming journey filled with challenges. Many individuals may feel isolated or unsure about their path. It’s vital to remember that reaching out for support can significantly enhance your healing experience. Conversations with loved ones can provide the understanding and encouragement you need. In addition, engaging in professional therapy can uncover deeper insights and coping mechanisms that are crucial in your recovery process. Regular reflection through writing helps to track patterns in your thoughts and emotions, making it easier to identify triggers and areas for growth. Remember, healing takes time and is unique to each individual. The insights shared in this article can pave the way for a more compassionate and informed healing journey. Embrace each step with patience and kindness towards yourself, and know that support is always available.

1. I’m on a healing journey now. There has never been a day when I haven’t trusted in GOD. That part of my journey is nonnegotiable. I have come as far as I have because of HIM. 2. It’s okay to cry. There have been days when I’ve had to sit down and have a good cry. There’s no lack of trust, just humanity in it.
