weight loss friendly meals (high protein, low cal)
If you are on a weight loss journey, here are some fun meal ideas you can try out that are high protein, low calorie and well balanced!
1: shrimp bowl ~ shrimp (seasoned with paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder), bell peppers, over arugula, rice and green onions
2: hummus bagel ~ this has been one of my hyperfixation breakfast go to’s! Use ½ bagel, hummus, egg, chili onion crunch and raspberries (or choice of fruit)
3: deconstructed pita platter ~ this is a great meal for prepping ahead of time and packed with a variety of color and veggies. ½ whole wheat pita, chicken shawarma, arugula, tzatziki, hummus & a tomato cucumber salad
4: avo toast ~ I absolutely LOVE sourdough bread (homemade is best!), not only does it taste great, it also has gut health benefits. I love topping my sourdough bread with avocado, egg, honey chili flakes, and chili onion crunch and having this with a side of fruit!

Incorporating high-protein, low-calorie meals into your diet can be a game changer for weight loss. High-protein meals support muscle maintenance, enhance satiety, and can help reduce overall calorie intake. Consider starting with meals rich in lean proteins such as chicken, fish, and plant sources like legumes. For breakfast, protein-rich options like Greek yogurt with berries or egg-based dishes can fuel your day and keep you satisfied longer. Snack on nuts or seeds to maintain energy levels without excessive calories. When preparing lunch, consider wraps filled with grilled chicken or turkey paired with a variety of vegetables for added fiber. Evening meals can include baked fish or grilled tofu, served with a side of steamed vegetables for a fulfilling dish without heavy calories. Don't forget to hydrate! Water not only keeps you hydrated but can aid in reducing feelings of hunger. Balancing these meals with regular physical activity will support your weight loss journey effectively. However, remember to consult with a healthcare provider or nutritionist to tailor your meal plan to your individual needs.
