moments before my wedding + my wedding hacks!

I got married in May 2023, and it was one of my favorite days ever! However, the minutes leading up to your wedding can be nerve wracking!

I still remember the minutes right before my wedding. I was extremely nervous and excited, all at the same time. I had zero appetite and my heart was beating out of my chest! I was worried about all the little things (will my veil fall off? is there lipstick on my teeth? Did I eat enough? What if I faint?, etc)

If I could go back and do it all again, here are my day of wedding tips for helping you stay grounded and calm moments before your wedding!

1: take a deep breath ~ spend a few minutes working on breathing exercises if you’re feeling too overwhelmed

2: don’t skip breakfast ~ it may be tempting to skip meals on the morning of your wedding, however my biggest tip is to EAT even if you’re not hungry and stay hydrated. This will help you physically feel better during the moments before you walk down the aisle

3: have an emergency kit handy ~ have your emergency kit ready for touch ups (powder, lipstick, perfume, water, snacks, etc).

4: spend a few minutes alone to pray, reflect on your big day, and your love for your partner Remember to enjoy the moment and soak it all in!

Don't underestimate the importance of a nutritious breakfast, even if you’re not super hungry; it fuels both your body and mind for the day ahead. Additionally, create a well-stocked emergency kit that contains makeup touch-ups, snacks, and water to keep your energy levels high. Lastly, carve out time for a moment of solitude. Reflecting on your journey and expressing gratitude for your partner can significantly enhance your emotional state, allowing you to soak in every precious moment of your big day. These strategies not only boost your confidence but also help you appreciate the unique gift that is your wedding day.
