are couples who “never fight” problematic? 👀

It might just be me, but I swear my partner and I bicker at least 10 times a day and not over anything serious. It’s the little things… like how he “cleans up,” our mini debates throughout the day, or deciding where to eat. He can be the biggest pain in my butt, but at the end of the day, it’s all love and I know we’re solid.

Honestly, I’ve come to believe a little chaos is normal. Being able to express frustration or speak our minds without fear of judgment actually helps us communicate better. It means we don’t bottle things up or let resentment build. Sure, we might bicker, but we also make up quickly, laugh it off, and move on.

Maybe “never fighting” isn’t always the goal and maybe learning how to fight well is what really keeps love strong. What are your thoughts on this?!

... Read moreIn any relationship, the notion of "never fighting" often sounds ideal, but it might not be the healthiest sign. Couples who never argue or express frustration might be bottling emotions inside, which can lead to unresolved issues and hidden resentment. Healthy relationships often involve open communication where partners feel safe to express their true feelings, even if it leads to minor bickering. According to experts, it’s not the presence of conflicts that defines a relationship's strength but how partners manage and resolve them. Small disagreements about everyday matters — like how to tidy up or deciding on where to eat — are natural and can even promote better understanding between partners. The ability to air out frustrations without fear of judgment helps prevent grudges and builds trust. This concept aligns with the idea that "a little chaos is normal." Rather than avoiding conflict altogether, couples benefit from embracing productive communication styles, such as listening actively, apologizing sincerely, and making up quickly. These behaviors demonstrate respect and commitment. On the other hand, "never fighting" might sometimes indicate avoidance or suppressing true feelings to maintain surface harmony, which can lead to detachment over time. Therefore, couples are encouraged to develop healthy conflict resolution skills to keep their bond solid. In sum, small fights or bickering are not inherently problematic but can be a natural part of a loving and dynamic relationship. Learning how to fight well—rather than never fighting—is what often keeps love strong and genuine.

LOL "we bicker at least 10x a day but it's love at the end of the day" 😂 sounds like some real relationship tea! I think you’re totally on point tho - a little chaos and bickering can be normal and even healthy if you're makin' up and laughin' it off afterwards.

I feel like communication is such a tall order these days. we all feel like we need to beat around the bush, be indirect, not say how we really feel, and I think this leads to the majority of problematic relationships or us just simply getting hurt. these are some great questions to really understa

I’m not who I used to be… and that’s intentional.
I used to over-explain. I used to give chances like they were unlimited. I used to ignore disrespect just to keep the peace. Now? I see it once… and I move accordingly. No announcements. No arguing. No begging. Just distance… or a problem. The calm version of me? That was mercy.

Never fighting = fine
Unpopular opinion: it’s not a red flag if a couple never fights. I keep hearing people say “if you never fight, something’s wrong.” Like it must mean there’s no passion, or that resentment is secretly building up. But honestly? Some couples just communicate well and don’t need to fight to feel h
