Hey everyone! So, building on my last post about Moon Knight in Marvel Rivals, I really wanted to dive a bit deeper into why grouping up is such a death trap against him. It's something I've learned the hard way in my Silver II games, and trust me, it can instantly swing a match. From what I've seen, Moon Knight has some serious area-of-effect (AoE) potential, especially with his ultimate ability. When your whole team is clumped together, it's just an open invitation for him to pop his ultimate, and suddenly, you're all taking massive damage and probably getting stunned or disoriented. I've literally seen a single Moon Knight get a team wipe, just like the times Nayrb (who's usually crushing it with damage!) or even a Venom or Wolverine player might struggle if they're caught in the blast. It feels like he just thrives on that chaos. So, what can we do instead? My biggest tip, and what I try to practice, is *spatial awareness*. Don't stand too close to your teammates, especially when you know Moon Knight's ultimate might be up. Think about spreading out just enough so that an AoE attack can't hit everyone. It forces him to commit to fewer targets, making his ultimate less impactful. This also makes it harder for him to chain his abilities effectively. Another thing I've started doing is trying to track his ultimate. If you haven't seen him use it for a while, assume he has it and play extra cautiously. If you're a support player like JimmyJonathans, who's usually racking up the healing stats, you'll find it much harder to keep everyone alive if they're all taking burst damage simultaneously. Spreading out gives you a better chance to heal individuals without getting caught yourself. Consider your hero picks too. If Moon Knight is a problem, maybe think about characters with high mobility or good disengage tools. Characters who can quickly get out of his AoE or interrupt his channeling can be super effective. Also, focusing fire on him when he tries to engage, before he can get his big abilities off, is key. I’ve noticed that even characters like Venom, who can be super strong, can get caught out if they dive in without their team being properly spread. It’s all about denying him the perfect setup. Don't give him free multi-kills. Even if you're not a top-tier player, just being mindful of your positioning can make a huge difference. I'm still learning, but this one tip has definitely saved my team from a few disastrous engages. Hope this helps you all climb those ranks!
