🩸Type Allowed Foods

#lemon8diarychallenge

Hey Lemons ; I have a similar lemon diary post about a meal I’ve already cooked. So I am back with some items I found that we can consume that’s beneficial for our bodies having Type O.

-Sweet Potatoes.

-Bananas.

-Green BellPeppers.

-B Free brand of Tortillas. & my only concern with this is the corn oil in it because we can’t have corn nor the oil.(Purchased at Walmart)

-Banza brand of noodle. Perfect! (Purchased at Walmart)

So far, I’ve only created a meal with the Banza Noodles that’ll post another day so stay tuned 😁

... Read moreHey everyone! Following up on my last post about Type O allowed foods, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into this lifestyle. It's been such a game-changer for me, helping me feel more energized and balanced. When I first started researching, I found a lot of information, especially around Dr. Lam's insights, which categorize foods into 'Most Beneficial,' 'Allowed,' and 'Not Allowed' for Type O blood. Understanding these categories is key to really embracing this diet. For Type O, the emphasis is often on lean meats and fish, which are considered 'Most Beneficial' for our digestive system. Think grass-fed beef, lamb, cod, and salmon – these are staples in my weekly meal prep. I've found incorporating these protein sources into my meals keeps me full and satisfied, and I notice a significant boost in my energy levels. When it comes to 'Allowed' foods, there's a fantastic variety! I shared some of my favorites before, like sweet potatoes, bananas, and green bell peppers. But it doesn't stop there. Many leafy greens like kale and spinach, along with other fruits like figs and plums, are also great additions. I've also found that 'Allowed' fats like olive oil are excellent for cooking and dressings. One of the biggest questions I get is about grains and dairy. While some diets restrict them heavily, for Type O, it's more about smart choices. For grains, I tend to stick with gluten-free options. That's why I was so excited to find Banza Linguine Made from Chickpeas – it’s a fantastic 'high protein' and 'carb savvy' alternative to traditional pasta, and it fits perfectly into my 'Allowed' list. The BFree Gluten Free High Protein Carb Savvy Tortillas are another win, though I always check for corn oil, which is a definite 'Not Allowed' ingredient for us. It's all about reading labels carefully! My personal experience has shown me that avoiding 'Not Allowed' ingredients like corn, wheat, and certain legumes (like lentils and kidney beans) makes a huge difference in my gut health and overall well-being. Many of you also asked about weight loss on the Type O diet. From my experience, focusing on 'Most Beneficial' and 'Allowed' foods naturally supports a healthy weight. By prioritizing lean proteins, abundant vegetables, and fruits, and limiting processed foods, you naturally reduce intake of items that can cause inflammation or lead to weight gain. For Type O, eliminating wheat and corn, which are often classified as 'Not Allowed,' can make a significant difference. It’s not just about calories, but about how your body processes certain foods based on its blood type. For example, my digestion improved immensely when I cut back on certain 'Not Allowed' dairy products and peanuts. This approach isn't a quick fix, but a sustainable way to manage weight by aligning your diet with your body's natural predispositions. Meal planning has become my superpower. I love to make a big batch of a protein like grilled salmon or chicken, and then pair it with roasted sweet potatoes and a big green salad. For snacks, a banana or a handful of 'Allowed' nuts (like walnuts, avoiding peanuts and cashews) are perfect. When shopping, I always keep Dr. Lam’s chart in mind, focusing on finding fresh, whole ingredients. It might seem daunting at first, especially when you're trying to identify all the 'Not Allowed' items, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes second nature. The benefits, like improved digestion, clearer skin, and steady energy, are definitely worth the effort. Remember, this isn't just a diet; it's a way of eating that aligns with my body's needs, and I hope sharing my finds helps you on your journey too! It’s all about feeling your best, inside and out, by making informed choices based on your blood type.
