Review 3.5/5⭐️

This one is for the historical romance girlies out there. I know I can’t be the only one lol. So this is as hinted a historical romance that follows a Lord with a dark past and his story of finding love in respected Lady of the ton who he thought could never love him. Did I say that she was already married?!? So with a turn of events and a couple accusations they go through this story and end on a happy ending. I really like the mmc development and him not just being some dude that’s got the hots for the mfc. Also, I really enjoy the writing of this book. I love the eloquent vocabulary that is used to create this story which is another reason why I enjoyed it so much. The reasons I didn’t give this a full 5 stars is cause they gave away the plot to the book in the first couple of chapters. Also, I was not a huge fan of how the ending just left you. There is an epilogue but it’s like a jump 5 years in the future. But besides that it was a good little read that kept me hooked on to its writing.

... Read moreAs someone who's always on the hunt for my next captivating read, especially within the historical romance genre, diving into Jade Lee's 'Lord Lucifer' was an intriguing experience. I noticed a lot of you searching for dark romance and more about Jade Lee and her heroines, so I wanted to share a deeper look into why this book might, or might not, be your cup of tea. First, let's talk about the 'dark romance' aspect that many of you are curious about. In 'Lord Lucifer,' the darkness isn't about graphic violence, but rather the hero's morally ambiguous past and the high stakes of the forbidden relationship. The titular Lord Lucifer carries a heavy burden, and his journey from a shadowed existence to finding love is compelling. It’s less about explicit dark themes and more about the emotional depth and the societal challenges faced by the characters. For me, this blend of historical setting and a hero grappling with his inner demons made it a fascinating read, offering a different flavor than typical lighthearted historicals. Jade Lee, a USA Today Bestselling Author, truly crafts a world where the 'darkness' adds layers to the romance, rather than overshadowing it. Then there's the female main character – the MFC that some of you were asking about. Our heroine is a respected Lady of the ton, already married, which immediately sets up a scandalous and intense premise. I found her strength and resilience in navigating a society that offered women limited choices particularly admirable. She's not a damsel in distress; instead, she's a woman who, despite her circumstances, finds her voice and makes difficult decisions for her future and her heart. Her interactions with Lord Lucifer are charged with tension and undeniable chemistry, making her a compelling figure in her own right. Her elegant historical attire and demeanor belie a fierce spirit beneath. One of the biggest draws for me, as I mentioned in my initial review, was Jade Lee's writing style. The eloquent vocabulary and vivid descriptions truly transported me to the Regency era. If you appreciate prose that is both beautiful and immersive, you'll likely find yourself engrossed. While I personally felt the plot was revealed a bit too early, and the ending, despite an epilogue, left me wanting more immediate resolution, the journey was still incredibly enjoyable. It’s a testament to Lee’s ability to create engaging characters and an atmospheric setting that even with these minor critiques, I was thoroughly hooked from start to finish. So, for those who are wondering if 'Lord Lucifer' is for you, especially if you're like me and enjoy a good dark historical romance by an author like Jade Lee: If you appreciate intricate plots, emotionally complex characters, and a romance that defies societal expectations, this book is definitely worth checking out. It’s available on Kindle Unlimited, which is fantastic for giving it a try without commitment. It's a great choice if you're looking for a historical romance with a bit more grit and emotional intensity than your average ballroom meet-cute.
