1 year later I'm free and headed to baseball again
free and happy to be me
A year ago, I faced the harsh reality of homelessness, living in a constant state of fear and need. I had to escape a toxic environment, which left me cold and starving, just searching for a sense of safety. I vividly remember trading in my troubled past for nights of uncertainty, yearning to find freedom within the chaos. Today, I stand fueled by hope and joy, heading back to the baseball field where I can participate in a sport that embodies resilience and camaraderie. Baseball has always been a sanctuary for those seeking solace, and I'm thrilled to reunite with this beloved pastime. I am reminded of the passion I hold for the game and the community it fosters—a perfect antidote to the struggles I once faced. As I embark on this new chapter, I encourage others to embrace their own journeys. No matter how daunting the past may seem, it’s possible to redefine your future. Just as the seasons change, so too can our lives evolve from the shadows into brilliant light. Whether you're finding your way back to loved activities like baseball or seeking new adventures, committing to a path of healing and fulfillment is what truly matters.
