The Monuments We Build from Crumbs
Sometimes it isn't the heartbreak that changes us.
It's the tiny things.
A glance that lingered a second too long. A text reread a hundred times. A coffee shared. A goodbye that never felt like one.
We collect those crumbs until, before we realize it, we've built monuments no one else can even see.
A lyric from my song Cactus Man:
"And with these crumbs I would erect A monument to your neglect."
