🔥ONE PAN PARM CRUSTED CHICKEN & FRENCH ONION PASTA
This is comfort food at its BEST—cheesy, garlicky, a little spicy, and all made in ONE pan 🙌
🛒 Ingredients:
• Chicken
• Pasta (I used penne)
• 5 cloves fresh garlic + garlic powder
• Bacon grease
• Parmesan cheese
• Mozzarella cheese
• Salt, pepper
• Red pepper flakes
• Onion flakes
• Water
👩🍳 Instructions:
1. Heat bacon grease in a pan and sauté fresh garlic until fragrant 🧄
2. Add red pepper flakes + onion flakes to bloom the flavor
3. Season your chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, then cook in the pan until done. Remove and set aside (keep all those flavorful drippings!)
4. Add dry pasta straight into the same pan and stir to coat in the drippings
5. Pour in enough water to cover the pasta and add a little more seasoning
6. Let it boil until the pasta is tender and the water is mostly absorbed
7. Stir in mozzarella + parmesan until melted and creamy 🧀
8. Transfer to a heat-safe dish, top with more cheese, and torch the top until golden and bubbly (carefully!) 🔥
9. Plate it up and top with your cooked chicken
✨ Cheesy. Crispy. Flavor-packed. Minimal cleanup.

If you're a fan of easy yet flavorful meals, this one-pan Parmesan crusted chicken and French onion pasta is a game changer. What I love most is how the recipe makes excellent use of bacon grease and garlic, which add a deep, smoky aroma that fills the kitchen during cooking. Using dried pasta directly in the pan means you save time on boiling water separately and maximize flavor absorption from the chicken drippings. Adding red pepper flakes and onion flakes early on really layers the dish with subtle heat and the classic sweetness of French onion flavors without the lengthy caramelization process. For a twist, you can swap penne for other pasta shapes like rigatoni or fusilli that hold the cheese sauce beautifully. The step of melting together mozzarella and Parmesan at the end creates a creamy, bubbly texture that makes every bite indulgent, while torching the cheese topping adds a crispy golden crust reminiscent of a gourmet finish. From my experience, seasoning the chicken thoroughly with salt, pepper, and garlic powder before searing is crucial to build the foundation of flavor. Also, be mindful when adding water to just cover the pasta to achieve the perfect al dente texture without excess moisture. This recipe’s beauty lies not only in its rich, comforting taste but also in the minimal cleanup since everything cooks in one pan. It's an ideal weeknight dinner for those who want to impress with little effort. Plus, the combination of protein, carbs, and robust flavors makes it extremely satisfying. Give it a try, and you might find yourself making it again and again!
