**disclamier, I am not a professional. Dye your hair at your own risk**
I like to switch up my hair color from time to time.
My first two photos is with light brown hair dye. It was dyed 3 months ago. So it washed out over time. But it's extremely close to my natural color. I would say if you have virgin hair, it could possibly be brighter for you. I did one whole tube of magenta dye, and a half of a tube of true violet. I also added 30 volume developer. But play around with the ratios to get your desired color. I think I may do more purple next time to get a plum color.
Also, if anyone has color deposit recommendations to get more of a plum color, drop them below.

It’s such a stunning, rich shade that blends deep reds, purples, and sometimes even a hint of brown, creating a lustrous, multi-dimensional look. Whether you're aiming for a dark cherry violet, a plum burgundy, or a vibrant cherry red purple, this color is all about sophisticated depth and shine.
First, let's talk about choosing your perfect cherry cola shade. The beauty of this color is its versatility! If you have naturally dark hair, a darker cherry cola or burgundy cherry cola can give you a subtle yet striking transformation, adding warmth and richness without requiring harsh bleaching. For those with lighter hair, you might achieve a brighter, more vivid purple cherry hair color. Consider searching for inspiration photos of 'dark cherry cola hair color glossy' or 'deep cherry burgundy glossy' to find the exact vibe you're going for. The key is to find a balance between the red and purple tones that complements your skin tone and personal style.
Achieving that signature glossy finish is crucial for cherry cola hair. After all, who doesn't want shiny, wavy hair that catches the light? To enhance the glossiness, consider using a good quality developer (like the 30 volume mentioned in the original post, but always consult instructions and do a strand test!). Post-dye, incorporating a color-safe hair mask once a week and a shine-enhancing serum can make a huge difference. Products specifically designed for color-treated hair will help seal the cuticle, locking in color and maximizing shine. Many color deposit recommendations also offer gloss-boosting properties, perfect for refreshing your shade between full dyes.
When you're mixing your own hair dye at home, like using magenta and true violet, remember that the ratio can dramatically change the outcome. More magenta will lean it towards a vibrant red-purple, while adding more true violet can give you that deeper, more plum-like dark cherry violet hair color. Always start with smaller amounts and mix thoroughly before applying. If you’re experimenting with hair dye products, paying attention to the undertones of your selected dyes can help you predict the final result. For example, some 'reds' can pull orange, while some 'violets' can lean blue. The goal for cherry cola is a balanced reddish-purple.
Maintaining your beautiful cherry cola hair color is just as important as achieving it. Red and purple shades are notorious for fading quickly. To combat this, wash your hair less frequently, use cool water, and invest in sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners formulated for color-treated hair. Heat styling can also cause color to fade, so using a heat protectant spray is a must. For a quick refresh, especially if you want to boost those purple cherry red hair color tones, a color-depositing conditioner or mask can be a lifesaver. These products add a hint of pigment with each wash, extending the life and vibrancy of your cherry cola shade. Keep an eye out for plum burgundy hair color glossy treatments too, as they can help maintain that rich, deep hue.
